How much does a German course in Berlin cost?

We track live prices for 303 German courses across 30 Berlin language schools. Blending them into one “average” would be meaningless — an evening class and a full immersion package aren’t the same product — so here is what a course actually costs, by type.

How we calculated this

  • Live data, not a hand-kept list. Figures come straight from the 303 courses in the LingoMap directory across 30 priced Berlin schools, and refresh as schools update their prices.
  • Median, not average. We report the median and the middle-50% range so a few premium immersion packages at the top don’t distort the “typical” price.
  • Like compared with like. Prices are grouped by course type. Ongoing courses (part-time, conversation, exam prep) are shown per month; intensive courses are shown per week, because they run in short full-day blocks.
  • Standard group courses only. We exclude 1:1 private tuition (which has no comparable published rate) and residential or immersion packages.
  • Free to reuse with credit. Please cite “LingoMap (2026)” and link back to this page.
