1. About LingoMap

LingoMap is an online directory that helps users find and compare German language courses in Berlin. LingoMap is operated by Julian Schempp, Rotenkruger Weg 88, 12305 Berlin, Germany ([email protected]).

By using this website you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

2. What LingoMap Provides

LingoMap provides:

• A directory of language schools and courses in Berlin
• Tools to filter, compare and evaluate courses
• An enquiry form to contact schools directly

LingoMap is an information service only. We are not a language school, do not sell courses, and are not a party to any agreement between a user and a school.

3. Accuracy of Listings

School and course information on LingoMap is provided for general informational purposes. We make reasonable efforts to keep listings accurate, but we do not guarantee the completeness, correctness or timeliness of any information.

Prices, schedules, course availability and school details may change without notice. Always verify details directly with the school before enrolling or making any financial commitment.

4. Enquiry Form

When you send an enquiry through LingoMap, we forward it to the one school you selected: your name and email address, the course you chose, and what you told us about your level, your intended start month, your visa situation and your question. Section 2.1 of our Privacy Policy lists this in full.

By sending an enquiry you:

• Confirm the information you provide is accurate
• Understand that forwarding your enquiry to that school is the service you are asking us to perform — it is what makes the form work, so it happens on the basis of Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR and there is no consent checkbox to tick or to withdraw
• Understand that the school receives your enquiry as an independent controller of your data, and that it, not LingoMap, is responsible for its reply and for everything that follows

An enquiry is not a booking. Choosing "I want to book a place" sends the school a request to book; a place exists only once the school confirms it to you.

We delete an enquiry 6 months after it was sent. Where an enquiry has become the basis of an invoice to a school, we keep the record of it for 3 years from the end of the year in which the claim arose (§ 195 BGB), so that both sides can still prove what was delivered.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Submit false, misleading or spam enquiries
• Attempt to scrape, copy or reproduce the directory content in bulk
• Use the site in any way that could damage, disable or impair it
• Use automated tools to access the site without prior written permission

6. Intellectual Property

The LingoMap name, logo, design, and the text and course data we publish are the property of Julian Schempp. The school and course descriptions on this site are written by us; we do not republish schools' own descriptions or marketing text.

What we take from a school's website is factual: prices, dates, levels, lesson counts, addresses and the like. Every course page names the page we read it from and the date we last checked it there, so you can verify it at the source. School names and trade marks belong to the schools and are used only to identify them.

If a school believes something on its listing is wrong, or does not want to be listed at all, email [email protected] and we will correct or remove it.

You may not reproduce or republish LingoMap content without prior written permission.

7. Third-Party Services

LingoMap uses the following third-party services:

• Google Maps — for displaying school locations. Subject to Google's Terms of Service
• Google Analytics — for anonymous usage analytics (with your consent)
• Google Places API — for displaying publicly available reviews
• Hetzner — for website hosting

LingoMap is not responsible for the practices of these third-party services.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, LingoMap is not liable for:

• Any inaccuracies in school or course listings
• Any loss or damage arising from your use of the site or reliance on its content
• Any issues arising from your direct dealings with a school
• Temporary unavailability of the website

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. The place of jurisdiction is Berlin, Germany.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. The date at the top of this page shows the last revision. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
