How these numbers are made
Verified prices only.
461 courses at 44 schools. Every private-school price is backed by a verbatim quote from the school's page, re-checked weekly; VHS prices come from the official Berlin open-data feed. Unverifiable prices are left out, never estimated.
Median, not average.
The median and the middle-50% range, so a few premium packages cannot pull the typical price around.
Like with like.
Per month for ongoing courses, per week for intensives, per taught hour everywhere (one unit = 45 minutes, a month = 4.33 weeks). Group courses only; a course sold in several lengths contributes its runs' own rates.
A dated snapshot.
Computed on 17 October 2026 and frozen until the next monthly snapshot, so a quoted figure stays checkable.
